Not every grammar school uses a standard external provider. Many instead use their own bespoke, school-designed entrance examination, or a shared regional test.

These assessments can combine English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and, in some cases, Creative Writing — the exact mix depends entirely on the individual school.

Because these papers are bespoke, the most effective preparation is practising the general format and style used by this kind of assessment, rather than a generic one-size-fits-all paper.
